The centre features live demon­stra­tions of welding processes and equipment designed to support pro­duc­tiv­i­ty, showcase industry 4.0 tech­nolo­gies and demon­strate the benefits of welding cobots for semi-automated welding ap­pli­ca­tions.

Of­fi­cial­ly opened by Senator the Hon Tim Ayres, Assistant Minister for Trade and Man­u­fac­tur­ing, the facility will focus on state-of-the-art welding tech­nolo­gies for customers, industry and educators.

Smart welding equipment and BOC’s high-per­for­mance gases are expected to help Aus­tralian man­u­fac­tur­ers improve welding speed, weld quality, safety and ef­fi­cien­cy.

With livestream ca­pa­bil­i­ty, BOC gas and metal fab­ri­ca­tion spe­cial­ists can provide face-to-face or virtual demon­stra­tions to customers anywhere in Australia.
